What's in a Name

When we bought our boat the previous owners requested they keep the boat’s name.

This isn’t entirely unusual, however, the boat’s name was ‘Spin Cycle’ which didn’t seem particularly remarkable. We assumed the obvious: they owned spin studios. As it turns out, they were a couple that had met at a laundry mat in NYC and he finally worked up the courage to ask her out during the spin cycle. The rest is history. Perfect! Memorable and a great story. How do you compete with that?

You don’t! Our new name for her is not nearly as witty or clever but here’s ‘Oh Ship’ in all her glory, in a painting I had made for David for Father’s Day
